CONTINUANCE W/T TIPS = PROPER EQUIPTMENT

AS POINTED OUT ....
PROPER EQUIPMENT
IT IS ESSENTIAL TO REALIZE THAT THE MOST COMMON MISTAKES ONE MAKE IN ATTEMPTING TO BE INDUSTRIOUS AND DOING THE JOB YOURSELF . OR IN THE LEAST CONNING YOUR WIFE OR KIDS INTO THE VERY EFFORT WITH THAT SAYING OH' ITS EASY ... IN THE LEAST IF YOU HAVE DONE SO YOUR A MASTER AT GETTING ONE TO DO SUCH AN YOU SHOULD BECOME A POLITICIAN .....HOPE YOU DON'T MIND A LITTLE HUMOR ....HA !
IN REALITY N BACK TO THE SUBJECT IF YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN THEM TO DO IT WELL YOUR IN FOR A TREAT OF INSANITY SWEAT HELL N A HARD TIME UNLESS YOU TAKE MY ADVICE N GET YOURSELF THE PROPER EQUIPMENT ....
DON'T SETTLE FOR THE CHEAPEST FLIMSIEST ROLLER HANDLE N CHEAPEST ROLLER COVER YOU COULD POSSIBLY FIND ....
GET THE STRONGEST MOST EXPENSIVE HANDLE . AND EXTENSION POLE ...THE PRO SERIES WOOSTER IS THE BEST A TOUGH STURDY N RELIABLE PRODUCT . UNLESS YOU FEEL YOU WOULD ENJOY DRIVING BACK N FOURTH TO THE PAINT STORE SEVERAL TIMES TO REPLACE THE CHEAP ONE YOU BOUGHT SINCE THEY USUAL WON'T LAST PAST THE FIRST SIDE OF YOUR HOUSE ...
AND NEXT TO POINT OUT THE ROLLER COVER GET A 1 - 1 1/2 " THICK ROLLER COVER
SUFFICIENT ENOUGH TO PASS MORE THAN ONE STROKE AN TO CARRY ENOUGH MATERIAL TO SPREAD AROUND ADEQUATELY IN A GOOD COVERAGE .
OR BEAT YOURSELF TO DEATH N WEAR OUT ONE OF THOSE CHEAP LITTLE SHORT HAIRED COVERS WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR N WASTE THE REST OF THE DAY APPLYING TOO LITTLE AN HAVE TO DO IT OVER N OVER AGAIN TILL YOUR DRENCHED WITH SWEAT HEAT ASPIRATIONS N HATING LIFE FOR NOT FOLLOWING MY ADVICE ....
NEXT =
AND THIS IS MOST DEFINITELY THE WORST MISTAKE ONE MAKES IN ATTEMPTING TO BE A DO IT YOURSELF ER .....
THE PAN = DON'T FALL FOR IT THOSE THINGS ARE MEANT TO DRIVE YOU STINKING BANANA'S....PLUS WASTE N SPILL COUNTLESS AMOUNTS OF PAINT AND WASTE HOURS OF YOUR TIME ...THE PAINT COMPANIES DESIGNED THESE THINGS TO DRIVE YOU CRAZY . TO MAKE A TOTAL MESS N OF COURSE SELL MORE USELESS AND OTHERWISE WORTHLESS PRODUCTS. AND ALSO MORE PAINT TOO .. SINCE YOU WILL SPILL PLENTY TRYING TO MANAGE APPLYING PAINT TO THE ROLLER IN THOSE LOUSY FLIMSY TRAYS... GETTING IT ON THE WALL IS THE JOB ..NOT SCREWING AROUND WITH GETTING PAINT ON THE ROLLER ....
SO ASK OR GET A PAINT SCREEN THAT ATTACHES TO THE INSIDE OF A 5 GALLON BUCKET . ALSO GET THE STURDIER PRODUCT .. REMEMBER YOU WANT TO DO THIS JOB THE EASIEST QUICKEST MOST EFFICIENT WAY TO GET IT DONE ....AND APPROPRIATELY TOO .. SO THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO IT MORE THAN ONCE OR TWICE .. N REALLY THE BEST THING IS TO DO IT TWICE ANYWAYS GETTING TWO FULLY COVERED THICKLY APPLIED COATS WAITING BETWEEN DRYING TIMES ..
IT WILL THEN LAST THE YEARS IN ACCORDANCE TO THE LABEL ON THE CAN .. A TEN OR TWENTY YEAR PAINT ALWAYS ADVISES TO APPLY TWO COATS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THE ADEQUATE PROTECTION .....
AND WARRANTY YES PAINT ACTUALLY HAS A WARRANTY BUT THE LOOPHOLE THE PAINT STORE HAS MOST PEOPLE HAVE NO IDEA THERE IS ONE . AND THE STORES LOOPHOLE IS YOU DIDN'T APPLY TWO COATS AS DIRECTED .. THAT'S WHERE THEY WILL GET YOU IN THE LONG RUN.... ONE DO IT RIGHT FOLLOW DIRECTIONS AND ADEQUATE COVERAGE . USING THE RIGHT TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT WILL ULTIMATELY INSURE THE PRODUCT WILL BE APPLIED EFFICIENTLY AND CORRECTLY ...
THE BUCKET =
NOW REALLY IF YOU HAD ANY BRAINS RATHER THAN BUYING TEN TO FIFTEEN GALLONS IN SINGLES N STRUGGLING TO GET THE PAINT OUT OF THE STINKING BUCKET . AND INTO THE EMPTY BUCKET YOU JUST BOUGHT FOR 5.00 OR MORE GET THE PAINT IN FIVE GALLON INCREMENT'S . IF YOU HAPPEN TO THINK YOU MAY NEED TEN GALLONS. BE REAL SMART BUY TWO FIVES AND A COUPLE OF SINGLES ALSO THE EXTRA TWO GETTING TWELVE ....INSTEAD OF TEN . ONE YOU WILL THEN HAVE A SMALL BUCKET TO PUT THE REMAINING LEFTOVER AMOUNT IN AND ALSO IF YOUR LUCKY YOU WILL HAVE A FULL MATCHING GALLON OF YOUR HOUSE PAINT IN ORDER IN THE FUTURE TO MAKE ADEQUATE TOUCH UP TO THE EXTERIOR OF YOUR HOME ....
BELIEVE ME IT HAPPENS NO MATTER HOW CAREFUL YOU SURE TO BE SOMETHINGS GOING TO SCREW IT UP . ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE KIDS PETS NEIGHBORS OR EVER HIRED YARD PERSONNEL BELIEVE ME THEY COULD CARE LESS IF THEY SCREW UP YOUR FRESH PAINT JOB AND ARE SURELY THE WORST IN HAVING CONSIDERATION OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL PAINT JOB . AND AFTER HALLOWEEN AFTER THE NEIGHBORHOOD KIDS EGG YOUR HOUSE . YOU'LL HAVE THE RIGHT COLOR N TINT ..TO TOUCH IT UP ....
NOW ONE OTHER POINT GET REAL N REALIZE THESE FEW OTHER POINTS ...
ONE IT IS EASIER TO HAVE AN EXTRA 5 GALLON BUCKET FIRST OFF YOU WILL NEED TO MIX ALL THE PAINT TOGETHER . FROM ALL THE CONTAINERS EVEN THE EXTRA SINGLE GALLONS ...REMEMBER THE PROPER FORMULA MAY BE OFF JUST A BIT AN IT'S MUCH BETTER MIXING IT ALL TOGHETHER .....
SO GET AN EXTRA 5 GALLON BUCKET ! IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A PAINT BUCKET FROM THE STORE . AN OLD ONE EVEN THOSE SQUARE CAT LITTER BUCKETS ARE GOOD TO HAVE FOR AN EXTRA MIX BUCKET POUR THEM ALL TOGETHER BETWEEN THE BUCKETS ABOUT HALF OF EACH BACK N FOURTH SEVERAL TIMES .
MIXING IT ALL TOGETHER . ADDING A CUP OR TWO OF WATER TO EACH BUCKET AS YOU GO TO GIVE THE PAINT A LITTLE BREATHING ROOM N IT WONT DRY UP NEARLY AS QUICK AN BELIEVE ME IT WILL BE EASIER IN THE END TO WORK WITH ...
AFTER MIXING CLOSE UP THE SINGLES AFTER RE POURING THE MIXED MATERIAL BACK IN THEM . N SET ASIDE JUST IN CASE YOU MIGHT NEED THEM ... ALSO THE FIVE GALLON BUCKET WITH THE PAINT YOU PURCHASED PUT THE LID BACK ON SECURELY . AFTER REFILLING IT . THEN YOU WILL HAVE A WORKING ROUND 5 GALLON BUCKET ABOUT 1/3RD. TO HALF FULL OF PAINT ...SET THE ROLLER SCREEN IN IT N PUT THE ROLLER HANDLE W/T ROLLER COVER ATTACHED IN THE PAINT DIPPING COMPLETELY INTO THE PRODUCT IT WILL THEN ABSORB EVENLY INTO THE ROLLER . ATTACH THE PAINT LID TO THE TOP OF THE REMAINING FIVE GALLON BUCKET THAT'S AROUND HALF TO THREE QUARTERS FULL DUE TO HOW MUCH WATER YOU ADDED WHICH IF YOU FOLLOWED MY ADVICE YOU WOULD HAVE ADDED AROUND A HALF GALLON OF WATER TO THE TWELVE GALLONS .
ONE POINT DON'T USED WELL WATER OR LAKE WATER IT USUAL HAS A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF ALGAE IN IT N WILL SPOIL WITHIN MONTHS ....USE TAP WATER . ALSO YOUR PAINT WILL MOLD QUICKLY IF YOU USE LAKE WATER OR WELL WATER ....IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME AND IS A NIGHTMARE .....
ANYWAYS LIKE I SAID CLOSE ALL CONTAINERS BACK SECURELY N SET ASIDE .. IF YOU HAD ENOUGH SENSE TO OF SET DOWN A TARP OR SHEET TO MIX OVER IN AN AREA IN THE SHADE N AWAY FROM THE HOUSE YOU WILL BE WORKING ON . LEAVE IT ALL ON THE TARP N BEING OUT OF THE WAY FROM THE WORK YOUR DOING YOU WON'T HAVE TO MOVE IT .. N REFILLING YOUR WORKING BUCKET WILL BE
EASIER OVER THE TARP...
BY NOW AFTER DOING AS I HAVE ADVISED YOUR READY TO GET TO IT N APPLY THE ROLLING EFFORTS ....
BUT BEFORE REALIZE THIS IT IS MUCH EASIER TO OF SET UP A SMALL PAINT POT N BRUSH WITH ENOUGH PAINT TO ADEQUATELY CUT IN YOUR WORK FIRST . BEFORE APPLYING THE ROLLING EFFORTS REMEMBER BEFORE WALKING AWAY WITH BRUSH IN HAND TO BEGIN BRUSHING PUT A PLASTIC GARBAGE BAG OVER YOUR 5 GALLON BUCKET W/T SCREEN N ROLLER HANDLE ROLLER COVER N PAINT . LEAVING THE ROLLER COVER SUBMERGED ...COVER WITH THE GARBAGE BAG . WHILE YOUR BRUSHING N YOUR PAINT ...
THAT 5 GALLON BUCKET WONT DRY N SKIM OVER ON THE TOP . USUALLY A COUPLE OF EXTRA OUNCES OF WATER SPLASHED ON THE TOP OF THE PAINT WILL ALSO INSURE YOUR PAINT WONT DRY UP N SKIM OVER WHILE YOUR SPENDING TIME BRUSHING (CUTTING ) IN YOUR WORK .

ALSO ANOTHER GOOD WORD OF ADVICE FOR PAINTING EXTERIORS DIG AWAY A TRENCH A BOUT 8 " AWAY FROM THE HOUSE AND ABOUT EIGHT INCHES DEEP TOO.
BRUSH OFF THE REMAINING SAND DIRT ETC. FROM THE BELOW GRADE WALL DOWN EIGHT INCHES ...AT LEAST ... YOU WILL WANT TO APPLY SEVERAL BRUSHED COATS TO THIS AREA TO INSURE BELOW GROUND WATER SEEPAGE INTO THE BLOCK STUCCO OR POURED FOUNDATION FOOTER ...
CUT IN THE TOP FIRST THEN AROUND ALL WINDOW INSETS THEN ACROSS THE BOTTOM . REMEMBER TO GIVE YOURSELF A GOOD BRUSH COVERAGE USUAL TWO COATS DRYING IN BETWEEN ...AND OUT FROM THE EDGES AT LEAST 4 - 6 INCHES AWAY .
ANYTHING ELSE THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE HOUSE = HOSE HANGERS,
LIGHTS , ELECTRIC PLUG PLATES . COVERS ETC. REMOVE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE .
IT IS MUCH EASIER TO TAKE IT OFF RATHER THAN TRYING TO PAINT AROUND THEM AN IT GETS A GOOD COAT UNDERNEATH THEM GIVING A GREAT SEALING N COVERAGE TOO....
..IT ALSO LOOKS MUCH BETTER AFTER REATTACHING WHEN YOUR DONE ......
THEN REMEMBER TO ADEQUATELY COVER THE GROUND GRASS CEMENT BUSHES N PLANTS DRAPING TARPS OR SHEET EVERY WHERE AROUND THE WALL N WORKING AREA .PLUS ITS A GOOD IDEA TO DOUBLE UP OVER CONCRETE DUE TO PAINT SOAKING THRU. N GETTING ON THE CONCRETE . ALSO PROVIDE YOU A COVERED WALK AWAY AREA WHEN WORKING OVER CONCRETE DUE TO YOU MIGHT GET PAINT ON THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SHOES FROM DRIPS N TRACK IT ACROSS THE PAVEMENT OR EVEN INTO YOUR HOUSE ON THE CARPET .....
AFTER ALL THESES THINGS HAVE BEEN DONE CUTTING IN N PREPARING THE SURFACE REMOVING EVERYTHING OUT OF YOUR WAY ....TARPING ETC.
THEN YOUR READY TO REMOVE THE PLASTIC BAG OFF THE ALREADY MIXED N PREPARED SOAKING ROLLER N ATTACH A ROLLING POLE N BEGIN ROLLING UP N DOWN PUSHING THE PAINT AROUND DON'T PUSH SO HARD LET THE ROLLER DO THE WORK CONTINUE DIPPING N APPLYING RUN FROM LEFT TO RIGHT OR THE OTHER WAY WHICH EVER IS EASIER TO YOU N DON'T STOP CONTINUE UNTIL YOU COMPLETE THE ENTIRE WALL . KEEPING A WET EDGE WORKING THE PAINT IN THE BEST YOU CAN WITHOUT ROLLING ALL OF IT OUT OFF THE ROLLER . KEEP IT A GOOD EVEN FULL COVERAGE OVERLAPPING BACK INTO WHATS PREVIOUSLY APPLIED N EVENLY DISTRIBUTE UNTIL THE ENTIRE WALL IS COVERED .. DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE DON'T TAKE A BREAK UNTIL EACH PHASE IS COMPLETED...
YOU WILL HAVE A BETTER COVERAGE AND A BETTER APPEARING FINISHED PRODUCT . FOLLOWING THIS ADVICE ....
GOOD LUCK .
ONE FINAL NOTE ....
THAT TRENCH YOU DUG N PAINTED BELOW GRADE ... REFILL WITH RIVER ROCKS AND IT LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER N SETS OFF THE EDGES APPEARANCE ...LAY DOWN PLASTIC OR GROUND CLOTH TO SEPERATE THE DIRT FROM THE ROCKS AND THE APPEARANCE WILL LAST AWHILE RATHER THAN THE ROCKS SINKING DOWN N MIXING WITH THE SAND N DIRT LATER IN THE YEAR . IT WILL ALSO KEEP THE WEEDS N GRASSS FROM GROWING UP TO YOUR HOUSE ....
AND ALSO WILL KEEP THE LAWNMOWER OR EDGER FROM DESTROYING YOUR PAINT JOB IN THE FUTURE .....

Professional Painting Tips=Nobody tells guide

Besides getting the best paint rather than the cheapest .
What to start with is the correct tools . 1. A real brush ...... I have found a = PURDY LATEX OR OIL BRUSH - The best ......http://http//www.purdycorp.com/
Also the bigger the better to apply the most paint .
A 3 " angle sash is good or better a 4 " xl titan PURDY Is the best .
You see the most and worst mistake most amateurs do is get a cheap crapolies brush ....
A really big mistake .. now i know that you may be thinking that well they are expensive but really if you take care of it it will last a long time . n be worth it in the production end seriously how much is your time worth . Beating yourself to death with a cheap lousy brush or getting the job done effectively n quickly .
XL™ Brushes
Purdy’s most popular brushes ... highly recommended for both interior and exterior painting projects and with all paints. The stiffness of the brushes makes them ideal for outdoor projects with different temperatures and humidity. A blend of Satin-Edge Nylon (Tynex®) and Orel® Polyester are used and our special tipping and flagging process simulates the ragged ends of natural bristle, so the brush holds more paint and releases it without brush marks. Each XL brush has a unique hand-chiseled formulation for maximum paint lift and smooth “no drag” application
So hopefully this is `enough information to get you to get a high quality brush .
And get a wire brush to clean your paint brush with to get the dried paint off the bristle's . remember to clean brushing wires with the grain of the brush bristles away from the handle .
not sideways you will just screw up a good quality brush ....also don't leave in water soaking it will just damage the bristles . after a good cleaning shake out the water remaining n set to dry on its side for a short while . replacing the brush cover back on don't throw it away ..so many idiots buy a 20.00+$ brush n throw away or loose the cover the first day . usually a brush will last years take care of it . seriously I can't stress this enough.
